Knowledge Day was celebrated for the students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Turkiye-Azerbaijan University (TAU). At the event organized at AzTU, first, flowers were placed in front of the bust of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the lobby of the university.<\/span><\/p>\n

Later, the dear memory of the sons of the Motherland, who died for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our lands, was commemorated with a minute’s silence. The national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey were played.<\/span><\/p>\n

Greeting the students, Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev wished them success in their studies and activities. He said that it is a proud event that AzTU and TAU students celebrate this year’s Knowledge Day together. Rector thanked the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan- Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkiye- Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the establishment of Turkiye-Azerbaijan University. He noted that 86 students were admitted to the Turkiye-Azerbaijan University and the results of the admission were expected to be high. This university will further strengthen the relations between the two brotherly countries in the field of higher education, and will become one of the leading universities in the region in the relevant fields.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vilayat Valiyev also drew attention to the fact that relations between Turkish universities are being further developed every year. It should be noted that this year 2459 students were admitted to the undergraduate level of AzTU, and 1720 to the master’s level.<\/span><\/p>\n

TAU vice-rector Mehmet Shimshir also wished success to the students during his speech. He said that in this newly established university, wide opportunities will be created for students, and staff will be prepared according to the requirements of the labor market.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the speeches, there was an award ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aytac Huseynli, who was admitted to TAU’s computer engineering major with the highest score (684.9), Ugur Guliyev, who was admitted to the industrial engineering major with the highest score (657.5), and Zarifa Parashova, who was admitted to the food engineering major with the highest score (632.8), were awarded.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tunar Mammadli, who was admitted to AzTU with the highest score (dual degree program with Ankara University, computer engineering – 657.7), winner of the republican science Olympiad in mathematics, Fuad Atayev, who was admitted to AzTU out of competition, to the German engineering faculty (process automation engineering – 633.3) Nazir Malikov, who was admitted with the highest score, to the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Science (chemical engineering – 626.6) Tamerlan Mirzayev, who was admitted with the highest score, and Hajar Safarli, who was admitted to the Faculty of Economics and Management (finance – 621.9) with the highest score, were among those awarded.<\/span><\/p>\n
