{"id":6291,"date":"2025-01-14T12:33:41","date_gmt":"2025-01-14T08:33:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aztu.edu.az\/sdg\/?p=6291"},"modified":"2025-01-16T10:27:52","modified_gmt":"2025-01-16T06:27:52","slug":"aztu-employees-participated-in-the-summer-school-in-ganja-within-the-dirna-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aztu.edu.az\/sdg\/aztu-employees-participated-in-the-summer-school-in-ganja-within-the-dirna-project\/","title":{"rendered":"AzTU employees participated in the summer school in Ganja within the DIRNA project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A summer school was organized at Ganja State University as part of the \u201cDevelopment of Research Potential through the Network of Institutional Repositories (Digital Archives) in Azerbaijan\u201d (DIRNA) project, implemented under the Erasmus+KA2 program, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner.<\/p>\n<p>The five-day training session included participation from\u00a0<span lang=\"AZ-LATIN\">Khayala<\/span>\u00a0Ha<span lang=\"AZ-LATIN\">ji<\/span>yeva, Director of the AzTU Library and Information Center (LIC);\u00a0<span lang=\"AZ-LATIN\">I<\/span>nam H<span lang=\"AZ-LATIN\">a<\/span>s<span lang=\"AZ-LATIN\">a<\/span>nov, Head of the Information and Communication Technologies Department; Iltifat Ibrahimov, Senior Consultant for Library Process Automation and Digitization; and Yegana Jafarova, Senior Expert in Metadata.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the summer school, AzTU staff participated in a training program presented by partners from Izmir Technical University (Turkey), Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 University (Finland), and the University of L&#8217;Aquila (Italy). The topics covered included Open Access and Open Science principles, legal regulations, Creative Commons licenses, applications of the European Open Science Cloud, and open publishing ethics.<\/p>\n<p>The last two days of the training focused on practical assignments. During these sessions, AzTU&#8217;s Digital Repository, the legal regulatory documents for Open Access and Open Science, and the Repository Resource Submission Form for Authors were demonstrated to the trainers and participants. Additionally, metadata was entered into the repository based on Dublin Core format description rules.<\/p>\n<p>It is noteworthy that staff members from AzTU\u2019s LIC have been appointed as National Contact Points (National Open Access Desk) for \u201cOpenAIRE,\u201d an organization focused on Open Science and Open Access under the European Commission. The board members of OpenAIRE officially announced this appointment to the trainers during the training sessions.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-6291 gallery-columns-4
