Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and “Information Valley Baku” located at AzTU, organized by a number of incubation and acceleration centers, have started the meetings related to the “GreenAgroHack” hackathon competition. The first information session of this kind was held at AzTU.<\/p>\n

Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev, director of Agrarian Innovation Center Anar Jafarov, director of “Information Valley Baku” Gamat Karimov, head of “FemTech” Acceleration Center Nargiz Amrahova spoke about the importance of the hackathon and invited students to participate in the competition.<\/p>\n

It was reported that “GreenAgroHack” is a competition of finding and preparing certain technological solutions in accordance with the technical task given within the framework of the “17th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition” which will be held on May 15-17, 2023 within the period of 29 hours 29 minutes 29 seconds.<\/p>\n

The goal of the hackathon is to develop special software, intelligent solutions in the field of agriculture with the participation of students of the country’s leading higher education institutions within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”, and to promote the role and importance of innovation in the agricultural field among young people.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that to participate in the hackathon, it is possible to apply as a team or individually, consisting of students of at least two different universities, formed of a maximum of 5 people (at least 1 woman and 1 person from the graduate students of previous years as a mentor). Individual applicants will be grouped into 5-person teams by the organizing committee after the applications are over.<\/p>\n

After the information session, the laboratory and workshop of the university were inspected.<\/p>\n
