{"id":7780,"date":"2025-03-19T10:48:56","date_gmt":"2025-03-19T06:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aztu.edu.az\/sdg\/?p=7780"},"modified":"2025-05-14T10:55:12","modified_gmt":"2025-05-14T06:55:12","slug":"international-success-of-the-mechack-9030-team-supported-by-aztu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aztu.edu.az\/sdg\/international-success-of-the-mechack-9030-team-supported-by-aztu\/","title":{"rendered":"International Success of the \u201cMECHACK 9030\u201d Team Supported by AzTU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the support of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the \u201cMECHACK 9030\u201d team achieved significant success in 2023 at the New York City Regional competition, winning the \u201cRookie All-Star Award\u201d and qualifying for the World Championship. At the Houston World Championship, the team was awarded the \u201cRookie Inspiration Award \u2013 Newton Division.\u201d Additionally, by receiving a \u201cWild Card\u201d at the New York Regional, the MECHACK team once again demonstrated its engineering skills and team spirit at an international level.<\/p>\n<p>On March 14, 2025, the \u201cMECHACK 9030\u201d team also participated in competitions held in Orlando and Miami, Florida, USA. Competing among 53 teams, the team placed 117th, further enriching its international experience. These accomplishments are tangible results of AzTU\u2019s support for youth development in the fields of technology and innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the First Robotics Competition (FRC), the MECHACK team has formed six First Lego League (FLL) teams and one First Tech Challenge (FTC) team, making a substantial contribution to the advancement of youth in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in Azerbaijan. These teams have been honored with prestigious awards such as the \u201cThinking Award,\u201d \u201cAttractive Team,\u201d and \u201cEngineering Excellence Award.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These initiatives, carried out with the support of AzTU, contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (particularly SDG 4 \u2013 Quality Education and SDG 9 \u2013 Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by fostering the development of youth knowledge and skills.<\/p>\n<p>This project is supported by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azercell, Kapital Bank, Azerbaijan Lottery, Azersun Holding, Azercosmos, Denetik Certification Company, B2B Group, Aura, and AD
