A delegation led by the Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Professor Vilay\u0259t V\u0259liyev, traveled to Indonesia. The delegation included AzTU\u2019s Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Professor S\u00fcbhan Namazov, and the Director of the Research and Development Department, B\u0259xtiyar B\u0259d\u0259lov.<\/p>\n

The main goal of the trip was to establish and expand cooperation between AzTU and leading Indonesian higher education institutions in scientific research, education, and innovation, as well as to sign memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in these areas.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the delegation toured the University of Indonesia, Jakarta State University, Atma Jaya Catholic University, and BINUS University. Discussions focused on broadening scientific and academic cooperation. Specific collaboration areas were identified based on each university\u2019s priorities, with exchanges on future joint projects.<\/p>\n

At the University of Indonesia meeting, Professor Vilay\u0259t V\u0259liyev emphasized AzTU\u2019s commitment to international partnerships through joint scientific projects, student and faculty exchanges, and organizing joint conferences and seminars. The University of Indonesia\u2019s Rector, Professor Ir. Heri Hermansyah, and vice-rectors welcomed these initiatives and expressed interest in cooperation in engineering and information technologies. An MoU was signed to strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation.<\/p>\n

At Jakarta State University, discussions included joint educational programs, improvement of engineering teaching technologies, joint research, and internship programs. AzTU Rector Professor Vilay\u0259t V\u0259liyev and Jakarta State University Rector Professor Komarudin M. Si attended the meeting, agreeing on collaboration formalized by an MoU.<\/p>\n

The delegation also visited Indonesia\u2019s leading private universities: Atma Jaya Catholic University and BINUS University. At Atma Jaya Catholic University, they explored the university\u2019s teaching and innovation potential, especially startup-oriented research and joint projects.<\/p>\n

At BINUS University, experience was shared in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and commercialization of research. Both sides considered applying BINUS\u2019s advanced research platform at AzTU and identified collaboration areas of mutual interest. An MoU was signed at the end of the visit.<\/p>\n

During the trip, Professor Vilay\u0259t V\u0259liyev highlighted AzTU\u2019s strategic focus on expanding its international research, education, and innovation network and integrating into the global scientific community, especially through cooperation with Asian countries. He expressed confidence that these partnerships would open new opportunities for the university.<\/p>\n
