A event dedicated to February 2 \u2014 Azerbaijan Youth Day was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), organized by the AzTU Trade Union Committee (TUC) and the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC).<\/p>\n

First, the memory of the homeland\u2019s sons who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan\u2019s territorial integrity and sovereignty was honored with a moment of silence, followed by the playing of the National Anthem.<\/p>\n

Elvin B\u0259khtiyarl\u0131, Chair of the AzTU TUC, shared his congratulations on the occasion of Youth Day. He spoke about the youth policy in the country and the care and attention given to young people. The TUC Chair noted that various events and interactive competitions are held throughout the year at AzTU to develop the knowledge, skills, and innovative ideas of students and young teachers.<\/p>\n

AzTU Vice-Rector Rashad \u018fliyev gave a brief history of Youth Day. He remembered the initiator of the day, the national leader Heydar Aliyev, and spoke about his role and efforts in shaping youth policy.<\/p>\n

Next, Ayt\u0259n Sh\u0131x\u0259liyeva, Head of AzTU Human Resources Department, Dr. Anar \u018fmiraslanov, Head of \u201cDent House Group,\u201d and Samid S\u0259f\u0259rov, Head of \u201cPrestij S Training Center,\u201d congratulated the youth and wished them success and continuous self-improvement.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the event, the results of the traditional competition organized annually by the TUC on Youth Day were announced. The competition involved young staff members who defended their candidacy dissertations, published scientific articles, actively participated in AzTU\u2019s social life, and stood out for their discipline throughout the year.<\/p>\n

According to the competition results, Ramil Dada\u015fov won 3rd place in the \u201cPromising Young Person of the Year\u201d nomination, \u015eamxal \u018fliyev took 2nd place in the \u201cProfessional Young Person of the Year\u201d nomination, and R\u00fcxsar\u0259 Seyfullal\u0131 won 1st place, becoming the winner of the \u201cAzTU Youth – 3\u201d competition.<\/p>\n

The winners of the competition, as well as young staff members distinguished by their discipline and contribution to the university\u2019s activities throughout the year, were awarded honorary certificates and gifts.<\/p>\n
