Three teams consisting of students from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) have won the \u201cTUSA\u015e Lift Up 2024 Industry-Oriented Graduation Project \u2013 Graduate Projects\u201d competition announced by the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSA\u015e) for the 2024-2025 academic year.<\/p>\n

The teams \u201cKaraba\u011fX,\u201d \u201cAeroTech AzTU,\u201d and \u201cVATAN\u201d worked on diploma projects titled \u201cSustainability of green mechanical processing and cutting tools,\u201d \u201cOptimization of aerodynamic shape using reinforcement learning,\u201d and \u201cReduction of residual stresses depending on the rolling direction of material in mechanical processing parts and optimization of NC programs,\u201d respectively. These projects are supervised by Professor Nizami Yusubov, Head of the Department of Manufacturing Technology; Professor Yadigar \u0130mamverdiyev, Head of the Department of Cybersecurity; and Associate Professor Sarvan Aziz from the Department of Manufacturing Technology.<\/p>\n

The projects are supported by industrial consultants G\u00f6rkem \u00c7oban, Sadik Yetkin, and Alper Ye\u015filyurt from TUSA\u015e.<\/p>\n

The teams collectively include 10 AzTU students, among whom one is an international student.<\/p>\n

The leader of the \u201cKaraba\u011fX\u201d team is Tamerlan Ahmadov, a 4th-year student in the Machine Engineering program at the Faculty of Manufacturing and Robotics; team members are Sevil A\u011fayarzade and \u0130brahim Novruzov.<\/p>\n

The \u201cAeroTech AzTU\u201d team is led by Javid Asadov, a 4th-year student specializing in Information Security at the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications; team members include Amin Mammadli and \u018fyyub Hajiyev.<\/p>\n

The \u201cVATAN\u201d team leader is Seyyid H\u0259s\u0259n M\u0259cidli, a 4th-year student in Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Manufacturing and Robotics; team members are Shamil \u018fsk\u0259rov, Ahmet K\u0131rbal\u0131, and Murad Shafiyev.<\/p>\n

Each project has a budget of 30,000 Turkish Lira.<\/p>\n

It is noted that AzTU student teams have been participating in this competition since the 2023\/2024 academic year. AzTU\u2019s collaboration with TUSA\u015e started in 2022.<\/p>\n
