A new info session of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (AKM) was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the session, registration was announced open for the 6th wave of training organized jointly by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (R\u0130NN), the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (\u0130R\u0130A), and Israel\u2019s Technion Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n

Ayt\u0259n Sad\u0131qova, head of AzTU\u2019s SABAH groups, spoke about the importance of developing the cybersecurity field. She noted that AzTU\u2019s leadership attaches great importance to this area and that the university provides all necessary conditions for students to improve their knowledge and skills in this direction.<\/p>\n

AKM mentor S\u0259nan Novruzlu provided detailed information about the current cyber threats worldwide and in Azerbaijan, their damages, the theft of data of national importance, and cyber-attacks on private sector data. He stated that the purpose of AKM\u2019s trainings is to develop the highest level of knowledge and skills among cybersecurity personnel in the country.<\/p>\n

AKM mentor S\u0259xav\u0259t Abd\u0131yev gave detailed information about AKM to AzTU students. He mentioned that a total of 360 people are planned to be trained during the first 6 waves of AKM, with 240 graduates from the first 4 waves, and the 5th wave trainings nearing completion. All graduates represent the center in both government institutions and the private sector. The center\u2019s representative encouraged AzTU students to be active and join the 6th wave of training. Registration will close on May 7.<\/p>\n

During the info session, AKM mentor Osman \u018fliyev emphasized that the training programs carried out by the Center are based on the training program of Israel\u2019s Technion Institute of Technology, and each training period aims to prepare 60 specialists. The center\u2019s staff noted that the foreign trainer team assesses the English proficiency, IT knowledge, psychological state, and interview skills of applicants. Those who successfully pass all stages undergo 6-month trainings in the \u201cBlue team\u201d (defense) and \u201cRed team\u201d (attack) directions. Those who successfully complete the training receive an official certificate from the Technion Institute.<\/p>\n

At the end, representatives of AKM answered questions from AzTU students.<\/p>\n
