To strengthen international research development and enhance the university\u2019s scientific performance, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), through the initiative of its Research and Development Department, organized a training session. The training was delivered by Saida Sak, the official representative of Elsevier, one of the world\u2019s leading academic publishing companies. Faculty members, master\u2019s students, and doctoral candidates actively participated in the session.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the training, Saida Sak provided detailed insights into the functionalities of the <\/span>Scopus<\/b> scientific database, including methods for article search and analysis, tracking citation indicators, calculating the h-index and other scientometric measures. Participants were also introduced to effective search strategies, research topic selection, opportunities for expanding international scientific collaboration, and the process of submitting articles to high-impact journals. Additionally, questions on indexing criteria, article acceptance procedures, academic ethics, and copyright were addressed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The session also featured discussions on enhancing the efficiency of AzTU\u2019s scientific activities, strengthening its visibility in the global academic community, and improving the management of the university\u2019s institutional research profile.<\/span><\/p>\n

In conclusion, the importance of advancing AzTU\u2019s research in line with international standards, increasing publications in reputable international journals, and further consolidating the university\u2019s position in the global scientific landscape was emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n
