{"id":8451,"date":"2025-09-18T12:44:52","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T08:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aztu.edu.az\/sdg\/?p=8451"},"modified":"2025-09-26T12:47:37","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T08:47:37","slug":"aztu-staff-and-students-participate-in-bootcamp-in-shamakhi-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aztu.edu.az\/sdg\/aztu-staff-and-students-participate-in-bootcamp-in-shamakhi-2\/","title":{"rendered":"AzTU Staff and Students Participate in \u201cBootcamp\u201d in Shamakhi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The next <\/span><b>\u201cBootcamp\u201d dedicated to the project \u201cApplication of Artificial Intelligence in Precision Agriculture\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was held in Shamakhi, jointly organized by the <\/span><b>Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>Shamakhi District Executive Authority<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Bootcamp, organized within the framework of the <\/span><b>Wine and Grape Festival<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, was attended by representatives of the <\/span><b>Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><b>Ali Mustafasoylu<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, student of the Faculty of Special Equipment and Technology; <\/span><b>Selcan Karimli<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, student of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications; and <\/span><b>Omar Alasgarov<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, trainer-constructor at the Research and Design Laboratory of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSmartTech\u201d Innovation Center<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main goal of the Bootcamp was to promote the use of <\/span><b>digital technologies in agriculture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, enable young people to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical skills, and support the development of the <\/span><b>startup ecosystem<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the agrarian sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the program, specialists from agribusiness companies as well as experts from more than <\/span><b>10 acceleration and incubation centers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> delivered presentations. They shared insights on improving the participants\u2019 projects, possibilities for industrial application, commercialization, and market entry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants presented a variety of <\/span><b>innovative ideas and models<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a unified platform for marketing biotechnologically produced plants,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">automated irrigation systems and sensor technologies,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">smart software for agricultural management,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eco-friendly fertilizer production through filtering fish waste from reservoirs and aquariums,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a local GPS tracking system for livestock based on the Concox Qbit-4G module,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">environmentally friendly production of propanediol molecules via biological fermentation,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and an application for early detection of plant diseases using photo analysis.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To further enrich participants\u2019 knowledge and experience in the agricultural sector, an <\/span><b>infotour<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was organized to local enterprises in Shamakhi. Students and staff visited the facilities of <\/span><b>\u201cAz-Granata\u201d LLC<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <\/span><b>Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking Research Farm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>\u201cShirvan Wines\u201d LLC<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, gaining first-hand exposure to real production
