A delegation from the <\/span>Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU)<\/b>, including <\/span>Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Dr. Subhan Namazov<\/b>, and <\/span>Director of the Research and Development Department, Dr. Bakhtiyar Badalov<\/b>, paid a working visit to <\/span>Islamabad<\/b>, the capital of the <\/span>Islamic Republic of Pakistan<\/b>, to strengthen academic and research cooperation with the country\u2019s top-ranked universities. The delegation was also joined by <\/span>Jale Karimova<\/b>, a representative of the <\/span>State Agency for Science and Higher Education<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the visit, the delegation held official meetings with several of Pakistan\u2019s leading higher education institutions, including the <\/span>National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST)<\/b>, <\/span>COMSATS University<\/b>, <\/span>FAST\u2013National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences<\/b>, <\/span>Bahria University<\/b>, and <\/span>Air University<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Extensive discussions were held on potential areas of collaboration, including <\/span>joint research projects<\/b>, <\/span>co-authored scientific publications<\/b>, and the establishment of <\/span>shared research platforms<\/b>. At NUST \u2014 one of Pakistan\u2019s foremost engineering and innovation-oriented universities \u2014 the two sides discussed the creation of a <\/span>Joint Center of Excellence<\/b>, publication of research in <\/span>high-impact international journals<\/b>, development of <\/span>certificate programs<\/b>, and <\/span>faculty exchange initiatives<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

At COMSATS University, Rector <\/span>Professor Sajid Qamar<\/b> expressed readiness to collaborate with AzTU. Both sides agreed on organizing <\/span>joint scientific conferences<\/b>, enhancing cooperation for <\/span>international ranking performance<\/b>, co-publishing <\/span>indexed scientific papers<\/b>, and launching <\/span>short-term visiting professorship programs<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the meeting with <\/span>Professor Aftab A. Maroof<\/b>, Rector of FAST University, both institutions welcomed the idea of signing a <\/span>Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)<\/b>, jointly utilizing existing <\/span>laboratory infrastructure<\/b>, and developing <\/span>co-supervision opportunities<\/b> for doctoral and master\u2019s students. Similarly, discussions with the leadership of <\/span>Bahria<\/b> and <\/span>Air Universities<\/b> resulted in agreements to sign future MoUs and promote <\/span>reciprocal research collaboration<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the visit, the AzTU delegation familiarized themselves with the <\/span>technical, research, and laboratory facilities<\/b> of the host institutions and identified <\/span>practical directions for cooperation<\/b>. As a result, both parties reached an agreement to <\/span>sign multiple MoUs<\/b> and expand <\/span>scientific, innovative, and academic partnerships<\/b> between AzTU and Pakistan\u2019s leading universities.<\/span><\/p>\n
