Within the framework of the <\/span>\u201cYear of Constitution and Sovereignty\u201d<\/b> and the <\/span>75th anniversary of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU),<\/b> the <\/span>II Summit Meeting of the AzTU Alumni Association<\/b> was held. The event began with a <\/span>one-minute silence<\/b> in memory of the brave sons of the homeland who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan\u2019s <\/span>territorial integrity and sovereignty<\/b>, followed by the <\/span>National Anthem of Azerbaijan<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev<\/b> welcomed the alumni, highlighting that the event was dedicated both to the \u201cYear of Constitution and Sovereignty\u201d and the university\u2019s 75th anniversary. He emphasized that <\/span>patriotism and love for the homeland<\/b> have always been central values at AzTU. Students and alumni have consistently been <\/span>at the forefront<\/b> in defending Azerbaijan\u2019s independence and sovereignty during both the <\/span>First Karabakh War<\/b> and the <\/span>44-day Patriotic War<\/b>. Over its 75-year history, AzTU has also produced <\/span>prominent figures who contributed significantly to Azerbaijani science, industry, and economy<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, AzTU alumni are working in <\/span>government institutions, private companies, and international organizations<\/b>, demonstrating that AzTU is a <\/span>higher education institution with rich scientific traditions that provides special attention and care to its students<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Madar Guliyev<\/b>, AzTU alumnus and Deputy Director General of the <\/span>Azerbaijan Metrology Institute<\/b>, presented a detailed report on the <\/span>Alumni Association\u2019s activities over the past year<\/b>, particularly focusing on alumni employment and career development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rasim Aliguliyev<\/b>, AzTU alumnus, Director of the <\/span>Information Technologies Institute<\/b>, and Vice-President of <\/span>AMEA<\/b>, spoke about the global importance of the <\/span>engineering profession<\/b>, emphasizing that engineers are in demand across all sectors. He noted that alumni should not rely solely on knowledge gained during university years but should <\/span>continuously utilize the resources of higher education institutions<\/b> to acquire modern engineering knowledge aligned with current global standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gunel Mammadli<\/b>, AzTU alumna and staff member, provided detailed information on the upcoming <\/span>AzTU Alumni Platform<\/b>, explaining its functionality and registration process.<\/span><\/p>\n

A <\/span>video presentation<\/b> about AzTU was subsequently shown.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mixail Zabelin<\/b>, AzTU alumnus and Member of the National Assembly, also expressed gratitude to the university leadership for organizing the <\/span>II Summit Meeting of the Alumni Association<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abil Aliyev<\/b>, AzTU alumnus and former Associate Professor of the Department of Electronic Computing Machines (1988\u20132003), shared memories from his student years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Turkish alumni of AzTU, including <\/span>Ozcan Karavar<\/b>, CEO of <\/span>Kar Tem Temizlik<\/b>, and <\/span>Ertugrul Altintas<\/b>, co-founder of <\/span>Galata Medikal<\/b> and <\/span>CTR Group CIS<\/b>, traveled to Azerbaijan specifically to attend the event and shared their student memories.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event concluded with a <\/span>performance by laureates of international competitions<\/b>, Aynur Isganderli and Kenan Qadimov, soloists of the <\/span>Special Exemplary Military Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
