The <\/span>III International Scientific-Practical Conference<\/b> titled <\/span>\u201cMechanical Engineering and Energy: New Concepts and Technologies\u201d<\/b> was organized by <\/span>Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU)<\/b> in collaboration with <\/span>Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU GS, Germany)<\/b>, <\/span>Gazi University (Turkey)<\/b>, and the <\/span>NESEFF International Network on Energy Supply and Efficiency (Germany)<\/b>. The conference was held in honor of the <\/span>75th anniversary of AzTU<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main aim of the conference was to emphasize the importance of <\/span>environmental sustainability in science, education, and research<\/b>, enhance the <\/span>economic efficiency of infrastructure<\/b>, and promote new approaches that foster <\/span>scientific and technological innovations<\/b> in mechanical engineering and energy sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Welcoming the participants, <\/span>AzTU Rector Vilayet Valiyev<\/b> noted that a total of <\/span>100 papers<\/b> were submitted to the conference. He highlighted that <\/span>268 scientists and researchers from 41 institutions across 13 countries<\/b> are participating, and expressed confidence that the event would serve as a <\/span>reliable platform for collaboration between academics and industry<\/b>, while strengthening international cooperation in science and technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining online, <\/span>Professor Silvio Simon<\/b>, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical, Electrical, and Energy Systems at BTU GS and Chair of NESEFF, extended his best wishes to the participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Professor Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali<\/b> from the Research, Innovation, and Commercialization Office at <\/span>Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan<\/b>, delivered a presentation on <\/span>\u201cFrom Education to Action: Educating and Training the Next Generation of Climate-Sensitive Leaders to Protect the Environment.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Subsequently, a joint presentation by BTU GS and AzTU researchers was shared online with conference participants, proposing solutions to real-world engineering and energy challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n
