Digital economy and financial technologies

The department was originally established in 1951 under the name Industrial Economics. Throughout its history, the department has operated under several different names reflecting the evolution of economic education and research.

Later, the department was renamed Economics, Organization and Planning of Production. In 1980, the department was divided into two separate departments: the Department of Industrial Economics and Management and the Department of Economic Theory and Economics of Service Sectors.
