An informative seminar on ISO 21001:2018 – Management System Standard for Educational Organizations was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) by the Quality Association. Employees from various faculties and structural units of the university participated in the seminar. The main purpose of the seminar was to provide detailed information about the essence, principles, and application mechanisms of the ISO 21001:2018 standard, as well as to emphasize the role of this standard in establishing and improving quality assurance systems in higher education institutions. During the event, presentations were delivered by experts from the Quality Association, explaining the practical significance of the standard based on real-life examples. A wide-ranging discussion was held on the possibilities of applying the ISO 21001:2018 standard at AzTU, and participants’ questions were answered. Representatives of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center held an info session at AzTU
A new info session of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (AKM) was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the session, registration was announced open for the 6th wave of training organized jointly by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (RİNN), the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (İRİA), and Israel’s Technion Institute of Technology. Aytən Sadıqova, head of AzTU’s SABAH groups, spoke about the importance of developing the cybersecurity field. She noted that AzTU’s leadership attaches great importance to this area and that the university provides all necessary conditions for students to improve their knowledge and skills in this direction. Final Round of the “Bebras” Informatics and Algorithmic Thinking Competition Held at AzTU The final stage of the “Bebras” Informatics and Algorithmic Thinking competition was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), jointly organized by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), the Azerbaijan Republic’s Institute of Education (ARTI), AzTU’s Institute of Information Technologies and Methodological Support in Education, and “ÖzünÖyrən” LLC. The main goal of the competition is to increase students’ interest in information technologies and computer science through interactive problems. In the final round, the algorithmic thinking and computer skills of 418 students were tested and automatically evaluated. The competition was conducted via the https://bebras.az/ portal, and participants were given 45 minutes to answer the questions. The ultimate super-final stage of the competition will take place in June 2025.
Students of AzTU won 2nd place in the “GreenTech II” startup and green technologies competition.
The final stage of the “GreenTech II” startup and green technologies competition was held in Ganja, organized by Azerbaijan Technology University (ATU), the Education Development Foundation (EDF), and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA). In the competition, 80 teams from 30 universities across the country competed in 4 categories: Digital Ecology, Robotics, Green Transport Technologies, and Social Innovations for Sustainable Development. Two teams represented Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) in the “GreenTech” startup and green technologies competition. The “City Mobility” team, consisting of Rasul Shahveranli and Vasif Mammadov, second and third-year students of AzTU’s Faculty of Transport and Logistics, won 2nd place in the “Green Transport Technologies” category. The winning project titled “Prospects for the implementation of a micromobility plan in small cities” (using the example of Bilasuvar city) was mentored by Allahverdi Sharifov, dean of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics at AzTU.
