A “Capture The Flag” (CTF) cybersecurity competition was organized at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) by the Department of Cybersecurity and the “CyberDEV” cyber club. The event was attended by students studying in the field of information security. The goal was to develop practical skills among students interested in cybersecurity, enhance critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and improve teamwork skills. Participants in the CTF competition completed tasks in various areas such as open-source intelligence, reverse engineering, digital forensics, and cryptanalysis. Such competitions play an important role at AzTU in identifying talented youth in cybersecurity and forming teams that will represent the university in national and international CTF competitions.   RELATED GOALS   

Eyvaz Məmmədli, AzTU’s special representative for work with applicants, and Amin Mamedov, academic advisor of the Faculty of Special Equipment and Technology, held a series of meetings with applicants and heads of regional education departments in the cities and districts of Shaki, Ismayilli, Gabala, Oghuz, Zagatala, Gakh, and Balakan. During the meetings, applicants were informed about AzTU’s specialties, the practice-oriented teaching model, industrial internships carried out in cooperation with enterprises, startup activities, and student achievements in these fields. They also discussed the conditions and opportunities created for students to participate in new projects. The university’s international relations, dual degree programs, and academic exchange opportunities were also of great interest to the applicants. Detailed information was provided about special scholarships for high-achieving students admitted to AzTU, as well as incentive mechanisms supporting their personal development and academic success. Staff members of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) — Fuad Daşdəmirov, Director of the Institute of Logistics and Transportation; Qasım Manafov, Head of the Department of Transportation Equipment and Management Technologies; and Associate Professor Nicat Zöhrabov — participated in a scientific-practical conference held at Tashkent State Transport University in Uzbekistan, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Professor Akmal Anvarovich Mukhitdinov of the Department of Vehicle Engineering. At the event, a gift was presented to Professor Mukhitdinov on behalf of AzTU’s leadership and staff. During the conference, AzTU staff discussed the exchange of experience with the departments and research centers of Tashkent State Transport University on urban mobility planning, design of electric and hybrid engines, and the participation of students studying transportation specialties in joint research.
