A meeting was held with the first-year students admitted to the Faculty of Special Equipment and Technology for the 2025/2026 academic year. Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Yadullah Babayev, congratulated the students on their achievement and emphasized that the Faculty of Special Equipment and Technology is the only one in the region preparing highly qualified specialists for the defense industry. He underlined that the importance of the defense industry continues to grow in light of new global challenges, and encouraged students to be active in their studies, to remain motivated for lifelong learning, and to act responsibly in their academic journey. Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Goshgar Rasulov, also addressed the students, extending congratulations on their admission and wishing them success in their first academic year. A delegation led by Mehmet Toycan, Rector of Cyprus Bahçeşehir University (KBU) of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, visited the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) during their trip to Azerbaijan. The guests held a meeting with Rector Vilayat Valiyev and representatives of AzTU. Welcoming the delegation, Rector Vilayat Valiyev expressed his pleasure at hosting them at AzTU. He provided detailed information about the university’s ongoing initiatives, academic programs, implemented projects, international collaborations, as well as AzTU’s future goals in science and research. Rector Mehmet Toycan, in turn, presented an overview of his institution, emphasizing that higher education institutions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are eager to establish cooperation with Azerbaijani universities in the fields of education and research.
