As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the university’s Theater Club once again staged the comedy “The Story of Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Mastali Shah” by renowned playwright Mirza Fatali Akhundov. Members of the Theater Club presented the performance to AzTU’s leadership, staff, and students.

The engaging stage design and the students’ acting skills were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.

It should be noted that the play, written in the Azerbaijani language in 1850, essentially criticizes illiteracy and ignorance and highlights how science and education can transform human life and drive progress.

After the performance, Rector Vilayat Valiyev met with the students and expressed his appreciation for the engaging presentation. He noted that a number of projects aimed at organizing students’ leisure time are being implemented at AzTU and that various student clubs are actively operating. The Rector positively assessed students’ participation in these clubs and wished them success in future projects.

In turn, the students expressed their gratitude to the AzTU administration for the attention shown to them and for the supportive environment created.
