The head of UZGE – National Ground Safety Institute, operating at the technopark of Sivas Cumhuriyet University in Turkey, Associate Professor Gültəkin Coşqun, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the visit, she met with AzTU Rector Vilayət Vəliyev. Representatives from the Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) and AzTU also participated in the meeting.
Gültəkin Coşqun provided information about the institute’s activities, stating that the organization offers high-quality testing and certification services in the fields of metrology and ground safety. Additionally, the institute conducts research on the friction coefficients of surfaces for helicopter landing pads and various types of flooring materials. She noted that collaboration with AzTU and TAU in these areas is a priority for the institute.
Rector Vilayət Vəliyev emphasized the importance of joint activities between AzTU, TAU, and the institute, noting that implementing a pilot project at the initial stage would be appropriate.
