An event dedicated to World Civil Defence Day was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) under the theme “Civil Defence is the Guarantee of Public Safety.”
Speaking at the event, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs Rəşad Əliyev stated that the aim of observing this day is to highlight the importance of public protection and safety, as well as to properly acknowledge the work and dedication of civil defence personnel.
Head of the Occupational Safety and Technical Security Department, Vidadi Mustafayev, also gave a speech, providing detailed information about the history of World Civil Defence Day and the civil defence measures implemented in Azerbaijan.
It is worth noting that this day was declared by the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO) and is marked annually as a large-scale humanitarian event. Azerbaijan has been a member of this prestigious international organization since 1993.
