The training session held within the framework of the “ArcGIS for Students” program has concluded.
Organized jointly by the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) and Esri, a global leader in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), the program included specialized practical training conducted by Azercosmos GIS experts focusing on real work processes.
At the closing ceremony, Fariz Mammadov, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), greeted the participants and thanked them for their active engagement.
Soltan Bayramov, Deputy Executive Director of 4SIM, highlighted the center’s activities related to developing human capital in the Industry 4.0 sector.
Ilgar Abdullayev, Adviser to the Chairman of Azercosmos on space law, emphasized the value of the training in providing students with real-world knowledge. He also noted the growing demand for professional personnel in the GIS field both in Azerbaijan and globally, presenting new opportunities for young people.
Students from the University of Economics, Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), and AzTU participated in the training sessions held at AzTU. They gained knowledge and skills in working with spatial data, practical use of the ArcGIS Pro application, and the application of GIS technologies.
At the end of the program, certificates were awarded to the participants who successfully completed the training.
