AzTU Participates in the “First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum”

Azerbaijan International Investment Forum held in Baku. Participants included Selcan Karimli from the Faculty of Information Technology and Telecommunications, and Anabacı Amiraslanova and Omar Mammadzade from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy.

The aim of the forum was to promote global cooperation, deepen regional economic integration, showcase the country’s investment opportunities, and present Azerbaijan’s ongoing economic reforms to an international audience.

At the “Agro Technology” section of the forum, AzTU students showcased their startup projects, which addressed challenges in agriculture and environmental sustainability. Among the innovations presented were:

  • Automated irrigation network systems for more efficient water use, 
  • Sensor technologies for precision agriculture, 
  • An integrated platform for the sale of biotechnologically grown crops, 
  • Smart farm management software for improved agribusiness operations, 
  • A project converting fish waste from reservoirs and aquariums into eco-friendly and cost-effective fertilizer through filtration methods, 
  • A local GPS-based livestock tracking system, 
  • Biological fermentation technology for producing propanediol in an environmentally safe way, 
  • A mobile application for early detection of plant diseases, along with several other innovative solutions.
