A training session titled “She’s Not Just a Girl, She’s an Engineer” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Organized by AzTU’s Communications Department, the session was attended by female students of the university.
The purpose of the training was to increase girls’ interest in engineering and promote gender equality.
The trainer, Anabacı Əmiraslanova, a second-year student at AzTU’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy and the second-place winner at the World Robot Olympiad, provided participants with valuable information on the role of women in engineering, success stories of women engineers in Azerbaijan and worldwide, statistics on women in STEM, startup opportunities for women, leadership skill development, and other related topics.
Following the presentation, participants were divided into teams to discuss the topic in depth.
