A meeting was held to explore opportunities for expanding cooperation between the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and SOCAR.
The meeting was attended by AzTU Rector Vilayət Vəliyev and university representatives, as well as SOCAR’s Vice President’s Assistant Aytən Fərzəliyeva, Head of the Talent Management and Business Partnership Department Ülkər Behbudova, Human Resources and Business Partnership Manager of SOCAR “Downstream Management” Nərmin Abdullayeva, and Head of the Recruitment Department of the Head Office Həmid İsrafilov.
Rector Vilayət Vəliyev shared information on recent projects at AzTU and highlighted the activities carried out within the framework of university-industry collaboration. The discussion focused on several cooperation directions, including organizing students’ practical training at SOCAR enterprises, implementing joint research projects, facilitating knowledge exchange between faculty members and professionals, and jointly organizing seminars and training sessions.
SOCAR’s Vice President’s Assistant Aytən Fərzəliyeva presented information about the company’s “Young Talents” program and the opportunities created for universities. She also shared data on AzTU graduates’ participation in SOCAR internship programs and their subsequent employment outcomes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties discussed the signing of a memorandum of understanding to formalize their mutual cooperation.
