The “Quality, Sustainability, and Innovation in Education Forum – 2026” was jointly organized by Mingachevir State University (MSU) and the Education Quality Assurance Agency (EQAA) under the Ministry of Science and Education.
Held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Mingachevir, the forum aimed to discuss key issues in quality assurance in higher and secondary specialized education, sustainable development, innovative approaches, international accreditation, and university–industry collaboration, while also facilitating experience sharing in these areas.
The event began with floral tributes at the statue of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, honoring his memory with deep respect. A moment of silence was observed in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and fallen heroes, followed by the performance of the National Anthem.
In his speech, Head of the Mingachevir City Executive Authority Ilham Ismayilov emphasized that improving the quality of education is one of the state’s top priorities, and highlighted the importance of collaboration between higher education institutions, state bodies, and the private sector in this direction.
MSU Rector Anar Eminov noted that over 500 applications were received for participation in the forum, which brought together representatives from 29 higher education institutions, 36 general and vocational education institutions, and more than 24 companies and organizations.
Chairman of the Board of Education Quality Assurance Agency, Tural Ahmadov, emphasized that the forum serves as an important platform for promoting a culture of quality among higher education institutions, implementing sustainable development approaches, and sharing innovative practices.
Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, stated that ensuring quality in engineering and technological programs is not possible without strong integration with innovation and industry.
The forum continued with panel sessions addressing these themes in greater detail.
