A Meeting of the Joint Working Group Between AzTU and the Ministry of Defense Industry Was Held

A meeting of the joint working group established between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the Ministry of Defense Industry (MDI) was held.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Nurali Yusifbeyli, particularly emphasized that the broad and systematic cooperation between AzTU and the MDI is highly valued.

Elsevar Ibadov, representative of the Ministry of Defense Industry, noted that the existing cooperation between the two institutions carries strategic importance.

During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on the key issues included in the agenda. In particular, the employment placement of graduates of the Faculty of Special Equipment and Technology for 2024 and previous years, the current curricula of the faculty’s academic programs, as well as the mechanisms for appointing joint academic supervisors for graduation projects for the 2025/2026 academic year were reviewed.

At the same time, the organization of six-month practice-oriented training programs for second- and third-year engineering students was also a focus of attention. It was noted that these training programs will contribute to enhancing students’ practical knowledge and skills, as well as to more effectively meeting the workforce needs of the defense industry.

The importance of further strengthening university–industry cooperation was emphasized at the meeting, and mutual agreement was expressed on continuing joint activities in this direction.
