Startup Days, held at the Incubation Center of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with the participation of students from AzTU, Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU), and the National Aviation Academy (NAA), concluded successfully. Organized in partnership with the Startup Azerbaijan platform, the event brought together young people interested in innovative ideas, mentors, and experts over two days.
Osman Gunduz, head of the Startup Azerbaijan platform, welcomed participants with an opening speech. He shared his thoughts on the development of the startup ecosystem in the country, engaging youth in innovative initiatives, and the importance of such events. Afterwards, Azad Musayev, coordinator of the AzTU Incubation Center, presented information about the program of Startup Days.
On the first day, students presented a total of 44 startup ideas. After short presentations, a voting process selected eight of the most promising ideas to advance to the next stage. Teams were formed around the selected ideas, and the development of initial prototypes and business models began.
On the second day, the formation of ideas, choosing the right direction, teamwork, and presentation skills were evaluated.
At the end of the day, teams showcased their projects before the jury in 4–5 minute presentations.
Projects were evaluated by the jury (Farid Kazimov, Samir Hebibli, Rahid Alekberli, Rasim Abdullayev, Rashad Aliyev) based on criteria such as innovation, technical justification, implementation potential, and business value.
According to the results, the “Timeless History” team, consisting of AzTU and MAA students, won 1st place. The “Youth.az” and “Skill Match” teams, consisting of AzTU students, received 2nd place. The “Nexo” team, composed of AzTU and TAU students, secured 3rd place.
