Employees of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) participated in the Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) program. The project was implemented by Baku Design Academy, a Global Training Partner of Microsoft and the official distributor of Certiport in Azerbaijan, with the support of AzTU’s Institute of Information Technologies in Education and Methodological Support.
The main objective of the initiative was to enable academic staff to obtain internationally recognized certification, support their professional development, and at the same time strengthen the university’s performance indicators related to academic staff development in international rankings. The project contributes to enhancing modern pedagogical and digital skills of educators and to the formation of teaching competencies aligned with international standards.
Overall, a 56-hour preparation program (including trainings, webinars, and seminars) achieved a success rate of 92.5 percent. At the end of the program, 62 faculty members of AzTU successfully passed the international Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) exam and were awarded the Microsoft Certified Educator international certificate.
