One of Azerbaijan’s goals is to become a regional Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub and an IT center, and I believe we have the potential to achieve this.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev shared these views during an interview with local television channels on January 5.
Noting that Azerbaijan is working with partners on the establishment of data centers, the Head of State said: “We have plans and already implemented projects regarding the creation of a cybersecurity center and the training of our specialists—we are sending many of our experts abroad for training and, at the same time, organizing training programs within Azerbaijan. Our goal, alongside connectivity, is to become a hub for Artificial Intelligence and IT. The potential exists. Strong political will exists. Of course, we consider American companies as our primary partners.”
