A delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) visited Istanbul Technical University, Yıldız Technical University, Bahçeşehir University, and the Informatics and Information Security Research Center (BİLGEM) of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) on a business trip. The delegation included Fariz Mammadov, Vice-Rector for International Relations; Ramiz Aliguliyev, Director of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Institute; Rahid Alakbarli, Director of the Defense Technologies and Cybersecurity Institute; Yadigar Imamverdiyev, Head of the Department of Cybersecurity; and Atif Namazov, Head of the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.
During meetings at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Yıldız Technical University, and Bahçeşehir University, the parties agreed on expanding existing cooperation in education and research, including:
- implementing dual degree programs,
- joint scientific research in cybersecurity, cryptography, data science, and artificial intelligence,
- publishing joint scientific articles,
- researcher exchange,
- joint doctoral programs, and
- exploring opportunities for dual scientific supervision for master’s and doctoral students.
During the meetings with TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, the delegation was informed about projects carried out by BİLGEM in cybersecurity, cryptography, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. The parties also discussed possibilities for joint specialist training and collaborative services for industrial enterprises. The delegation visited BİLGEM’s relevant research centers.
