A delegation led by Rector Vilayat Valiyev of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) conducted an official visit to universities in the Republic of Turkey. The main purpose of the visit was to expand existing collaborations with Turkish universities, discuss joint research initiatives, and explore opportunities for dual-degree programs.
Rector Vilayat Valiyev met with the rectors and senior management of Gebze Technical University, Sakarya University, and Sakarya University of Applied Sciences in the cities of Gebze and Sakarya. During the meetings, the rector presented ongoing projects at AzTU and expressed interest in collaboration in areas including joint research projects, student and faculty exchange programs, implementation of international and regional projects, co-publication of scientific articles, and dual scientific supervision for master’s and doctoral students.
As part of the visit, the delegation also held meetings at the Provincial Directorate of National Education of Sakarya and visited the Motorized Vehicles Vocational School of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The delegation included Fariz Mammadov, Vice-Rector for International Relations; Ramiz Aliguliyev, Director of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Institute; Rahid Alakbarli, Director of the Institute of Defense Technologies and Cybersecurity; Yadigar Imamverdiyev, Head of the Department of Cybersecurity; and Atif Namazov, Head of the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.
