At the Azerbaijan Technical University (AZTU), a meeting was held with Vafa Musayeva, the first Azerbaijani woman to summit Mount Everest, as well as a trainer and educator, for students and staff.
Sevil Imanova, Advisor to the Rector of AZTU, highlighted that the meeting aimed to showcase the results of female determination and professional experience. She noted that, in addition to Everest, Vafa Musayeva has climbed prominent peaks including Lhotse, Yurhim, Elbrus, Savalan, and other high mountains.
During her speech, Musayeva discussed the role of mountaineering in personal growth, its ability to inspire mental resilience, and the cultivation of strong self-confidence. She shared her experiences and spoke about overcoming obstacles on the path to achieving her goals.
The event continued with a Q&A session, allowing students and staff to engage directly with the alpinist.
At the conclusion, AZTU Vice-Rector Rashad Aliyev thanked Vafa Musayeva and emphasized that the event would serve as a motivating example for students’ personal development.
