An excursion was organized for 4th-year students of the Mechanical Engineering program at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The event was coordinated by the Department of Mechanics and the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC), and took place at Hidroservice Engineering LLC.
The main purpose of the excursion was to allow students to apply theoretical knowledge gained in classes, familiarize themselves with a real production environment, and study technological processes firsthand.
Bakhytar Ganbarov, Director of the company, Sabuhi Jabbarli, Chief Engineer, and Ismail Ismail, Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanics, provided students with detailed information about the company’s production areas, operational principles of the equipment, and innovative engineering solutions applied on-site. Students also had the opportunity to learn about mechanical design, material processing, organization of technological lines, and safety requirements.
At the end of the excursion, participants discussed increasing the number of such practical trips to further enhance students’ skills. Additionally, an agreement was reached on the possibility of conducting some open lessons directly at the enterprise for relevant courses.
