“Water Treatment and Management” Laboratory Opened at AzTU

The opening ceremony of the “Water Treatment and Management” Laboratory was held under the Department of Chemical Technology, Recycling, and Ecology at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).

The event was attended by AzTU Rector Vilayet Valiyev, Head of the Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Department at “Aqualink” LLC Zaur Musayev, Sales Manager for the Middle East, Central Asia, and Southeast Europe at Elsevier Paul Girdis, as well as representatives of the university.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Rector Vilayet Valiyev emphasized the strategic importance of the efficient management of water resources, improving water quality, and expanding scientific research in this area. It was noted that the laboratory’s main objectives are to advance water treatment technologies, reduce pollution, ensure ecological safety, and develop scientifically-based solutions in the field. These activities prioritize ensuring safe and accessible water resources.

Equipped with modern instruments, the laboratory will support the development of students’ practical skills, strengthen research potential, and contribute to training highly qualified specialists.

The initiative aims to promote quality and inclusive education, implement innovative approaches, and enhance scientific infrastructure through university–industry collaboration.

Zaur Musayev from “Aqualink” LLC highlighted the ongoing nature of the partnership with the university, noting that expanding joint initiatives will yield significant results in water resource management and ecological sustainability.

Thus, the newly established laboratory will serve as an important scientific platform contributing to water security, the development of quality education, innovation, strengthening scientific infrastructure, and expanding institutional partnerships.
