On March 13, 2026, at the initiative of the Department of “Energy Efficiency and Green Energy Technologies,” a seminar was held within the framework of the “Sustainable Development Goals” program, specifically under “SDG-12 Responsible Consumption and Production.” The seminar, titled “Improving Power Quality as a Method for Reducing Electricity Waste in Industrial Enterprises,” was presented by Associate Professor Adila Zeynalova and Senior Lecturer Asif Sadigov.
Improving power quality enables more efficient use of electrical energy in industrial enterprises. Reducing issues such as voltage fluctuations, harmonics, and reactive power minimizes energy losses and ensures more stable operation of equipment. This approach contributes both to reducing energy waste—i.e., inefficient energy consumption—and to increasing the economic efficiency of enterprises. In turn, this supports enhanced production efficiency.
During the seminar, with the participation of department staff, a representative from ADNSU, and students, discussions and practical measurements were conducted regarding the structure, operating modes, and parameter calculations of capacitor banks. The final part of the seminar continued in a question-and-answer format.
