A seminar titled “Financial Literacy and Digital Financial Tools: The Human Capital Foundation of Sustainable Development” was organized at Azerbaijan Technical University by the Department of Digital Economy and Financial Technologies.
The main objective of the event was to increase financial literacy among students and academic staff, and to provide information about the opportunities and risks associated with digital financial tools.
Senior lecturer Senan Memmedov discussed the importance of financial literacy for individual and social well-being, the development of digital financial services, and their impact on the economic system.
The seminar particularly highlighted the role of financial literacy in the implementation of SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). It was noted that financial literacy contributes significantly to enabling individuals to make informed financial decisions, supporting entrepreneurship, and ensuring sustainable economic growth.
At the end of the event, participants’ questions were answered.
