An event titled “Spring Comes to Our Homeland” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), jointly organized by the Trade Union Committee and the Student Trade Union Committee.
First, an exhibition of stands prepared by faculties and student organizations on the occasion of the Novruz holiday was presented.
The event began with a one-minute silence in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, followed by the performance of the National Anthem.
Rector Vilayat Valiyev congratulated the participants on the occasion of Novruz and spoke about the traditions of this cherished holiday, which symbolizes unity and solidarity. He noted that Novruz, heralding the arrival of spring, is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year in Azerbaijan, and emphasized the importance of such events in passing national traditions on to future generations.
Later, certificates of appreciation were presented to students who actively participated in the social and public life of the university.
Following the official part, the event continued with a concert program.
