A number of engineering programs taught at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) have been successfully accredited by the prestigious AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs) Standing Commission.
The accreditation was carried out for a cluster of five study programs:
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Bachelor’s)
- Electrical Engineering (Master’s)
- Process Automation Engineering (Bachelor’s)
- Process Automation Engineering (Master’s)
- Energy Engineering (Master’s)
As part of the accreditation process, an on-site evaluation was conducted at AzTU by AQAS experts from October 27 to 31, 2025. During the site visit, the curriculum content, teaching quality, infrastructure, and management mechanisms of the five-program cluster were comprehensively assessed.
Based on the evaluation results, the programs were recognized as meeting international standards and were accredited until March 31, 2032.
This achievement confirms that the quality of engineering education at AzTU is internationally recognized and highlights the university’s strong educational and research capacity. The accreditation is also significant for students in terms of obtaining internationally recognized degrees and improving their competitiveness in the labor market.
AzTU will continue its efforts to enhance the quality of its educational programs and expand international cooperation in the future.
