A Meeting Held with First-Year Students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Telecommunications

A meeting was held with the first-year students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Telecommunications at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).

The Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Telecommunications, Dr. Leyla Mammadova, provided information about the faculty’s activities, academic programs and specializations, skill development opportunities, and career prospects — including collaborations with IT Academies and Code Academy. She also spoke about upcoming hackathons, startup competitions, projects, and exchange programs. Dr. Mammadova emphasized that the main goal of the faculty is not limited to sharing scientific knowledge but also to cultivating responsible and patriotic citizens.

Academic Advisor Ms. Safa Asadova informed the students about the credit system applied in higher education and other important academic matters.

Vice Dean for International Relations Ms. Ayten Movsumova and Vice Dean for Social Affairs, Public Relations, and Infrastructure Ms. Ulviyya Karimova also addressed the students, sharing relevant information within their respective areas.

Director of the Library and Information Center Ms. Khayala Hajiyeva provided an overview of the facilities and resources available at the center.

Head of the Communications Department Mr. Safa Baghirov shared his thoughts on the effective organization of students’ social activities and invited talented students to join the new clubs that will be established.
