Murat Çemberci, General Manager of Gebze Organized Industrial Zone (GOSB) Technopark, held a seminar on “Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and Technoparks” at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev, Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) Vice-Rector Mehmet Şimşir, MUSIAD Azerbaijan Board Chairman Rashad Jabirli and other persons participated in the seminar. AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev first addressed the participants and spoke about the importance of the seminar. GOSB Technopark General Manager Murat Çemberci made a comprehensive presentation and provided detailed information about the activities of the organization he leads, its contributions to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, as well as the new technopark currently being established in Azerbaijan. During the presentation, detailed information was provided about the entrepreneurial university model, startup ecosystem, and ways for student-young researchers to realize their innovative business ideas.

During the meeting, cooperation opportunities with both universities were discussed.

An event dedicated to International Mother Language Day was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) jointly organized by the Department of Humanities and the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC). Delivering an introductory speech at the event, AzTU Vice-Rector Rashad Aliyev evaluated this meeting, which included the issues of promoting and encouraging the ideas of Azerbaijaniness, as a very important and commendable event. He especially emphasized that the mother language plays an important role in enriching a person’s spiritual world, expanding his worldview, and obtaining excellent education, and gave his recommendations to young students in this direction. Meinhard Kettler, a representative of Clarivate, led the online training organized by AzTU’s Research and Development Department. The main purpose of the training was to provide information on how to use the features offered by the PQDT Global and Web of Science platforms more effectively, as well as to promote open access. During the session, topics such as free access to PQDT Global and Web of Science, electronic theses and dissertations, and using ProQuest’s free ETD Dashboard tool for data access, along with institutional repository systems for universities, were discussed.   RELATED GOALS

Representatives from various companies within the Communication Technologies Cluster operating under Türkiye’s OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone visited the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The delegation met with AzTU’s rector Vilayət Vəliyev and university representatives.During the meeting, Rector Vəliyev highlighted AzTU’s ongoing collaboration with Turkish universities and companies, emphasizing the importance of applying Türkiye’s experience in university-industry cooperation at AzTU.Durali Çiçek, coordinator of the Communication Technologies Cluster and head of the delegation, along with other company representatives, introduced their organizations and stressed the importance of cooperation between industry and academia in areas such as electronics, automation, telecommunications, programming, and cybersecurity. Ahmet Köse, Director of the “Bilim Baku” Center and official representative of “TEKNOFEST” in Azerbaijan, met with Vilayet Valiyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The meeting was also attended by Mehmet Şimşir, Vice-Rector of the Turkiye-Azerbaijan University (TAU), and AzTU representatives. During the discussion, the expansion of cooperation between AzTU and TAU was explored. Following that, Ahmet Köse held an info session for AzTU and TAU students. The event began with an opening speech by Sübhan Namazov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at AzTU. He mentioned that students prepare for “TEKNOFEST” with great enthusiasm every year and emphasized the significance of the competition, noting that it opens new opportunities for students. Ahmet Köse then gave a comprehensive presentation on “TEKNOFEST-2025.” The session concluded with a Q&A session, where students’ questions were answered.
