The Head of the Department of Economics and Statistics at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Arzu Suleymanov, and Associate Professor Ramil Quliyev participated in a one-week academic exchange under the “Erasmus+ KA171” program at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University in the Republic of Turkey. During their visit, the AzTU representatives got acquainted with the activities of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. They discussed opportunities for conducting joint research and developing collaborative projects. While on the exchange, Arzu Suleymanov and Ramil Quliyev also participated in the 1st International Conference on Economic and Administrative Research, jointly organized by Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University and AzTU. The conference featured presentations on various topics across the fields of economics and administrative sciences. A total of 10 papers from Azerbaijan were accepted and included in the program, of which 8 were written by AzTU’s faculty members, as well as doctoral and master’s students.  

A lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Leyla Quliyeva participated in a one-week mobility program for academic staff at Cluj-Napoca Technical University in Romania within the framework of the “Erasmus+” exchange program. During her visit, Leyla Quliyeva got acquainted with the activities of the Department of Modern Languages and Communication at Cluj-Napoca Technical University. She met with the academic staff and provided detailed information about the work of AzTU’s Department of Foreign Languages. The two departments also discussed potential opportunities for collaboration. Additionally, Leyla Quliyeva delivered a lecture on the topic “Presentations and Interviews” for students majoring in Computer Science.  

A tournament dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, organized with the support of the YAP Yasamal District Organization, has concluded. The tournament featured competitions in various sports, such as chess, checkers, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and futsal. The Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) team excelled in several events, winning 1st place in basketball and table tennis, and 2nd place in checkers, chess, and futsal. The AzTU Sports Club’s futsal team secured 3rd place in the Azerbaijan Student Football League Public Union’s Student League Championship.  

The Judo Azerbaijan Championship for students has concluded. Nearly 100 students from various higher education institutions participated in the competition, organized with technical support form the Azerbaijan Judo Federation. According to the results of the championship, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) secured 3rd place in the team standings. The AzTU team won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze medals.  

The Center for Innovative Economic Research at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held a briefing. In the briefing, the head of the center, Professor Elshad Mammadov informed journalists about the recent developments in the economic sector over the past month. He particularly discussed the localization of manufacturing processes, expansion of regional technological cooperation, a sharp increase in direct investments (capital expenditures) in the national economy, a fundamental shift in the country’s monetary and credit policy toward investment growth, the increasing share of innovative projects in the national economy, the formation of regional sales markets to enhance the efficiency and profitability of production processes, and the deepening of fiscal mechanisms to stimulate domestic production in the country. These reports were shared with the journalists. The journalists’s questions were answered at the end of the briefing.  

A psychological awareness forum titled “Healthy Mind, Healthy Society” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), and organized by the “Ahenk” Psychology Rehabilitation Development Center. The aim of the forum was to support the psychological education of young people, transfer the experience of the older generation to them, and facilitate mutual discussions between the two generations. Members of Parliament Ceyhun Mammadov and Vugar Iskandarov, mothers of martyrs, war veterans, heads of educational centers, psychologists, education experts, teachers, parents, and students attended in the event. The foundations of psychological well-being, as well as the significance of national spirit, healthy nutrition, and healthy thinking were discussed, during the forum. The event continued with a cultural part.  

A staff member of the International Relations Department at Bursa Technical University in Turkey, Semih Ozturk visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) under the “ Erasmus+” exchange program. Semih Ozturk conducted a one-week training at AzTU’s International Relations Department and got acquainted with the ongoing activities there during his visit. Discussions were also held regarding the expansion of the existing cooperation between the two universities and potential opportunities for further collaboration.  

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has prepared an urban mobility plan for 16 cities, including Shirvan, Mingachevir, Lankaran, Yevlax, Sheki, Naftalan, Shamkir, Quba, Tovuz, Qusar, Bilasuvar, Masalli, Khachmaz, Goygol, Goychay, and Agjabedi, and organized a final discussion on the plan. A roundtable discussion was held with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Baku Metro CJSC, Surakhani District Executive Authority, Yasamal District Executive Authority, Azerbaijan State Automobile Roads Agency, Azerbaijan Surface Transport Agency, and relevant companies. AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev highlighted the economic, social, and environmental contributions of preparing the mobility plan and emphasized the key results derived from the project. Within the framework of the ECAR project, aimed at enhancing research skills, training sessions on “Rules for Writing Scientific Papers” and “Research Methods” were conducted. The training was organized as part of the “Creation of the Conference of Rectors in Azerbaijan” (ECAR) project, implemented under the “Erasmus+ KA2” program, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner. Professor Gulahmad Talibov from the Department of Chemical Technology, Recycling, and Ecology, Lecturer Qizilgul Israfilova from the Department of Radiotechnics and Telecommunications, Lecturer Kamran Huseynov from the Department of Cybersecurity, and Lecturer Shamkhal Aliyev from the Department of Electrical Engineering represented AzTU at the training. The Head of the Research and Development Department, Bakhtiyar Badalov and Senior Specialist of the Finance Department at the Financial and Supply Department of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Fidan Gurbanova participated in the International Week organized by Dumlupınar University in Kutahya, Turkey, within the framework of the “Erasmus+” exchange program. The event, attended by over 80 representatives from higher education institutions across more than 25 countries, featured presentations from participating universities. Topics such as writing projects in the fields of teaching and research, international collaborations, and education and experience exchange were discussed during the event.
