AzTU Rector Speaks at International Summit Organized by QS
A delegation led by Vilayat Valiyev, the Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), participated in the “Higher Education Pre-Summit: Asia Region 2024,” held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the international ranking agency, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), and brought together leading universities from Europe and Asia. Climate Change Summit was held at AzTU
Climate Change Summit was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The youths and scientists from Azerbaijan and Türkiye gathered at the summit. The aim of the summit is to raise awareness of climate change among young people in the lead up to the COP29 conference, encourage them to be proactive in the struggle against climate change and empower them to produce sustainable solutions. The summit was held in cooperation with Türkiye Bahcheshehir University, Bilimsenol Platform and with the participation of various non-governmental organizations. The event provided an opportunity for young participants to share their knowledge and experience and develop new collaborations. The AzTU team is in the semi-finals of the “49th ICPC – Students’ International Programming Competition”
The “AzTU6” team from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has secured a spot in the semifinals of the 49th ICPC – International Collegiate Programming Contest. The team will compete in the semifinals of the 49th ICPC, which will be held in Georgia from December 13-15, 2024. They will also participate in the South Caucasus Open Championship, both in team and individual categories. It is worth mentioning that a total of 174 teams from 23 higher education institutions participated in the competition. In the round of 16, AzTU’s “AzTU6” and “AzTU2” teams advanced to the quarterfinals. Known for its affordable offers in the mobile communication market and its emphasis on education, Nar continues its projects supporting the development of digital knowledge in Azerbaijan. AzTU Delegation Led by the Rector Conducts a Business Visit to Uzbekistan
A delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), led by the Rector Vilayat Valiyev, has undertaken a business visit to some of Uzbekistan’s leading universities. The delegation included Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations Subhan Namazov, Vice-Rector for International Relations Fariz Mammadov, and Head of the Research and Development Department Bakhtiyar Badalov. AzTU students with eco-sensitive “CO2toD” project which converts carbon dioxide gas into dry ice, awarded First Place at the International Green STEAM Azerbaijan Festival
The International Green STEAM Azerbaijan Festival was held with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the COP29 Presidency, organized by the “STEAM Azerbaijan” project. In the international competition, Aliyoldash Emiraslanli, a student from the SABAH groups of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), and Anabachi Emiraslanova, a student from the Faculty of Engineering at a German university, represented Azerbaijan with their invention, the “CO2toD” device, in the “Green Initiatives” category. According to the decision of the jury, the project by the AzTU students was awarded first place. The students were mentored by Professor Mehriban Hasanova, from the Department of Engineering Physics and Electronics at AzTU. It is noteworthy that over 900 participants, representing 244 teams, took part in the final stage of this year’s festival. Among them, 146 participants represented 15 countries, including the United Kingdom, Turkey, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the United States.…
An employee of Rzeszów University of Technology was trained at AzTU
Monika Stanisz, an employee of the International Relations Department of Jędrzejów University of Technology in Poland, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) as part of the “Erasmus+” exchange program. During her visit, Monika Stanisz conducted a week-long training at AzTU’s International Relations Department, where she familiarized herself with the department’s activities, international collaborations, and ongoing projects. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the expansion of the existing cooperation between the two universities. A meeting was organized with the participants of the 2nd “Maarichi” Student-Alumni Internship Program, implemented at the initiative of the Ministry of Science and Education and the Education Development Fund.
