The Minister of Youth and Sports met with the chairman of AzTU TGT
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, met with the young participants of the “Enactus Egypt” exchange program, which was supported by the Ministry. During the meeting, the representative delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), including members of the AzTU “Enactus” team and Ruslan Gambarov, the Chairman of the Student Youth Organization, shared their experiences and insights from participating in the “Enactus Egypt” exchange program. They discussed the activities they carried out and the information they gathered during their visit to the “Enactus Egypt” delegation in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Minister Farid Gayibov listened to the thoughts and suggestions of the youth, expressing his hopes for the continuity of their future activities.
AzTU students participated in industrial, scientific research and scientific-pedagogical internships
Internship is the final stage of the educational program and serves to apply the theoretical knowledge gained at the university in practice, as well as to strengthen professional skills. Students are sent to internship institutions close to their places of residence in the capital and regions, and foreign students are provided with the opportunity to do internships in their own countries. In the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, 1,542 students of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) studying in the 4th academic year of the bachelor’s degree participated in internships of 6, 21 and 30 credits, depending on their specialty. 1,179 undergraduates studying in the 2nd academic year of the master’s degree participated in scientific research and scientific-pedagogical internships of 8 credits each. The teacher of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences gave a lecture at AzTU
Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) continues to successfully collaborate with Sakarya University of Applied Sciences in Turkey under the “Erasmus+” exchange program. As part of this cooperation, Gökhan Atalı, a faculty member from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Sakarya University, visited AzTU. During his visit, Atalı met with the academic staff of AzTU’s Mechatronics Department and got acquainted with the department’s teaching infrastructure, technical facilities, and laboratories. Discussions were held on the possibility of implementing joint projects. Additionally, Gökhan Atalı delivered a lecture to AzTU students majoring in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, focusing on specialized topics in the field.

A report meeting was held within the framework of the LMQS project
A meeting was held regarding the activities and financial reporting of the “Strategic Quality Management in Healthcare and Risk Management in Open and Distance Education Formats for Professional Bachelor’s and Master’s Preparation in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan” (LMQS) project, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner. The project is implemented under the European Union’s “Erasmus+” program, coordinated by the University of West Attica in Greece. The meeting, hosted by the University of West Attica, focused on discussing the project’s activities and financial matters. AzTU was represented at the meeting by Professor Hasan Huseynov, Advisor at the Department of Machine Engineering Technology, and Matanat Pashayeva, Head of the International Projects Group at the International Relations Department. As part of the “Strategic Quality Management in Healthcare and Risk Management in Open and Distance Education Formats for Professional Bachelor’s and Master’s Preparation in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan” (LMQS) project, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner, a series of training sessions have been held. The trainings were hosted by the European partners of the project: the University of West Attica in Greece and the University of Côte d’Azur in France. Schoolchildren made an excursion to AzTU
“Open door” day of students was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Students of classes X and XI, as well as their teachers, participated in the “Open Door” day. At the meeting, applicants were informed about the innovations implemented at AzTU. The history of the university, faculties, specializations, international relations, dual degree programs, laboratories, career opportunities and other important information have been brought to the attention of applicants. Later, the students got acquainted with the AzTU campus.
AzTU employees participated in the Global Sustainable Development Congress in Thailand
The Global Sustainable Development Congress was held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. It was organized by the Times Higher Education (THE) agency. The congress brought together over 3000 global leaders and innovators from more than 100 countries to discuss “Sustainable Development”. During the congress 10 leading local universities were represented at the Azerbaijan Pavilion with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the organization of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education. Azerbaijan Technical University (Aztu) participated successfully in the event. AzTU students were awarded in the competition held within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”
The students of the Faculty of Energy and Automation of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) participated in the “Best Student Scientific Work” competition about “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” organized by Azerbaijan University. The main focus on the competition was “Revitalization of Karabakh – Ecological Projects.” The students Rahman Ahmadov and Nazim Orujov presented a project named “Electricity and Heat Energy Production Using Low-Temperature Thermal Waters in the Republic of Azerbaijan” and received a diploma in the nomination for “Most Interactive Presentation.” It should be noted that Associate Professor Ramiz Kalbiyev, the head of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Green Energy Technologies at AzTU was the supervisor of the students.
