The next DAAD seminar was held at AzTU
The next seminar was held for students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) on applying for scholarship programs of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The seminar, titled “How to Write a Successful Motivation Letter,” provided students with guidelines on preparing the motivation letter required for applications to DAAD’s master’s level scholarship programs. The seminar was conducted by Claudio Kasperl, a DAAD German language teacher working at AzTU. In the seminar, students were provided detailed information about DAAD’s activities and scholarship programs, application conditions, required set of documents, and the rules for the correct preparation of a motivation letter. At the end of the event, the participants’ questions were answered. In addition, Claudio Kasperl organized an information session on “Language courses with scholarships in Germany”. Summer schools in Germany and the rules for applying to them were explained in detail at the DAAD information session for undergraduate and graduate students.
Training was held within the DIRNA project at AzTU
The training was held within the framework of the “Development of research potential through the network of institutional repositories in Azerbaijan” (DIRNA) project of the “Erasmus+KA2” program, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner. The training on “Presentation of the Digital Repository at AzTU and open access possibilities” was organized based on the presentations of Khayala Hajiyeva, director of the AzTU Library Information Center (LIC), and Iltifat Ibrahimov, an expert on library systems and digitization of the LIC. The participants were informed in detail about open science, open access concepts, international licenses, copyrights, open publishing opportunities, AzTU’s open access policy, author agreements. AzTU launches traditional tournament dedicated to Victory Day
A traditional tournament dedicated to Victory Day has been launched at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The “Victory Tournament” jointly organized by the AzTU Sports Club and the Trade Union Committee is held every year in order to effectively organize the leisure time of university employees and protect their health.As part of the tournament, AzTU employees will try themselves as teams in 5 sports (chess, checkers, table tennis, volleyball and football). On the opening day of the tournament, a total of 10 teams representing different faculties and structural units of AzTU competed in the sport of chess. AzTU student: “The project I presented at the Milan Congress was welcomed with interest”
“It is an honor to present my project before the vast audience at the 75th International Astronautical Congress held in Milan, Italy.” These were the words of Safarali Safarli, a member of Azerbaijan’s national scientific team representing the country at the congress, in an interview with AZERTAC. “Yesterday, I presented my project at the congress’s scientific session. The Artificial Intelligence Navigation and Observation System (A.I.N.O.S) project is an artificial intelligence based on physical formulas. This AI system is capable of determining, tracking, and displaying on-screen information about celestial bodies, stars, and satellites from the Earth’s surface. I am pleased that my presentation was well received by the audience. I feel fortunate to participate in such a major space science platform,” said Safarali Safarli, a SABAH group undergraduate student. It is worth noting that Azerbaijan’s national scientific team at the Milan Congress consists of nearly 50 students, young specialists, and scientists.
AzTU hosts International Science and Technology Conference
The 15th International Science and Technology Conference (ISTEC) has commenced at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The international conference, organized in partnership with Sakarya University, Kocaeli University of Health and Technology, and Chankaya University, brings together scientists from the global academic community. In his opening speech, Professor Vilayat Valiyev, Rector of AzTU, expressed his pleasure in hosting the conference. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AzTU and Kocaeli Health and Technology University
During the International Science and Technology Conference held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), a meeting took place between AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and the Rector of Kocaeli University of Health and Technology in Turkey, Muzaffar Elmas. In the meeting, the two higher education institutions discussed and agreed on collaborative efforts in the fields of education and research. As a result, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between AzTU and Kocaeli University, formalizing their partnership.
“Erasmus Alumni” held at AzTU
A “Erasmus Alumni” event was organized at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) by the International Relations Department. During the event, AzTU students who had studied abroad through the “Erasmus+” exchange program shared their experiences through presentations. These students had participated in exchange programs at Sapienza University of Rome in Italy, Povislanski University in Poland, Bucharest University of Economic Studies and Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania, as well as Bursa Technical University and Izmir Bakirçay University in Turkey. AzTU holds AIDS education event
The Republican AIDS Control Center of the Ministry of Health held an info session at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) as part of measures to combat the disease (HIV infection) caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). At the event, information was provided about HIV and AIDS, which are a serious threat to health. In the end, the students’ questions were answered.
AzTU student wins a bronze medal at sporting event in Astrakhan
The 7th international sports games among the students of the universities of the Caspian countries were concluded in the city of Astrakhan of the Russian Federation. About 600 athletes from 5 countries tried their hand at various sports. Nurlan Khalilov, a student of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), competing in the weight class of 64 kg, won a bronze medal in the sambo competition.
Rector: Information security has serious economic consequences
