AzTU employees spoke at the international conference
The 6th international conference on “Inventive Computing and Information Technologies” was held in Bangkok, Thailand, organized by Stamford International University. Scientists and researchers from different countries of the world took part in the conference organized in an online format. The Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was represented at the conference by the head of the radio engineering and telecommunications department, professor Mehman Hasanov, the doctoral students of the department, Nadir Atayev, Emin Payizov, Turana Rasullu, as well as Sahib Piriyev, associate professor of the engineering mathematics and artificial intelligence department. AzTU representatives spoke on “Adaptive monitoring of optical networks in free space using artificial neural analysis” at the conference. At the end of the conference, the participants were presented with a certificate. It should be noted that the articles selected at the conference will be published in journals indexed in “Web of Science” and “Scopus” databases.
AzTU held a meeting with students within the framework of the “Reduce sugar, extend life!” campaign
A meeting was held with the students studying food engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the representatives of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute (AFSI). The presentations were given on the topics of “Harms of sugar”, “Sugar substitutes” and “Importance of fruit and vegetables on the daily diet” at the meeting within the campaign of the “Reduce sugar, extend your lifespan!” It was noted that the campaign is being implemented in order to promote a healthy lifestyle among the population and to encourage citizens to eat healthy, including the consumption of sugar in accordance with the norm. AzTU student Alpagut Turan won the Republic Cup in martial arts
The Republican Cup on Alpagut Turan martial arts, organized by the Azerbaijan representative of the World Alpagut Federation, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan National Sports Association, has ended. Togrul Zeynalli, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Energy and Automation of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), participated in the tournament, which was represented by more than 400 athletes. Winning over all his opponents, he got the first place in the Batur system of Alpagut martial arts in the 55 kg weight class.
AzTU employee participated in a round table on sustainability in Tbilisi
The Kazakh-German University in Almaty (DKU) organized a training workshop on Sustainable Lifestyles for Universities as part of the project “Sustainable Lifestyles at the Universities of Central Asia and the Caucasus.” Supported by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) in Tbilisi, Georgia, the workshop took place on March 14-15, 2024. During the event, Azerbaijan Technical University was represented by Natavan Namazova, head of the Institute of Sustainable Development. At the meeting, attendees shared international and regional best practices regarding sustainable lifestyles. An event called “COP requirements: Climate change and resistance to natural disasters” was held at AzTU
Organized by Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the Baku Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan (ATGTI), and student youth organizations affiliated with higher education institutions, a student scientific conference on “COP Requirements: Climate Change and Resistance to Natural Disasters” took place in Baku on April 15th. The 104th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society was celebrated at AzTU
A ceremony dedicated to the 104th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society (AzQAC) was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). On April 5, in accordance with the Joint Action Plan of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), “Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting” Closed Joint Stock Company, and the State Commission for the Fight against Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, in accordance with the Joint Action Plan of the Permanent Working Group at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) “Say no to bad habits, choose a healthy lifestyle!” interactive training was held.
Representatives of “Clarivate Analytics” company visited AzTU
Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev met with Baltic, Central Asia and South Caucasus coordinator of “Clarivate Analytics” company Anna Trifonova and the company specialist in educational resources Inesh Kenjina. Representatives of AzTU also participated in the meeting. Rector Vilayat Valiyev emphasized that the cooperation between AzTU and “Clarivate Analytics” company, which started in 2015, has been successfully continued. At the meeting, discussions were held in the direction of cooperation with the “Web of Science” international ranking platform of scientific publications, inclusion of scientific journals, dissertations in international databases and increase of references. At the same time, opinions were exchanged on the inclusion of conference publications in various fields into the “Web of Science” platform.

The next master class was held for the students of the university within the framework of the measures provided for in the memorandum of cooperation signed between the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).
Nadir Novruzov and Azer Malikov, employees of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service, gave practical training to students on “Practical Penetration Tests”.
Speakers informed about the goals, stages and tools of penetration tests, demonstrated practical laboratory works covering all stages of penetration tests, including the detection and exploitation of gaps, and pointed out the necessary measures to eliminate gaps.
At the end, students’ questions were answered and recommendations were given to them.
