Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has prepared an urban mobility plan for 16 cities, including Shirvan, Mingachevir, Lankaran, Yevlax, Sheki, Naftalan, Shamkir, Quba, Tovuz, Qusar, Bilasuvar, Masalli, Khachmaz, Goygol, Goychay, and Agjabedi, and organized a final discussion on the plan. A roundtable discussion was held with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Baku Metro CJSC, Surakhani District Executive Authority, Yasamal District Executive Authority, Azerbaijan State Automobile Roads Agency, Azerbaijan Surface Transport Agency, and relevant companies. Within the framework of the ECAR project, aimed at enhancing research skills, training sessions on “Rules for Writing Scientific Papers” and “Research Methods” were conducted. The training was organized as part of the “Creation of the Conference of Rectors in Azerbaijan” (ECAR) project, implemented under the “Erasmus+ KA2” program, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner. Professor Gulahmad Talibov from the Department of Chemical Technology, Recycling, and Ecology, Lecturer Qizilgul Israfilova from the Department of Radiotechnics and Telecommunications, Lecturer Kamran Huseynov from the Department of Cybersecurity, and Lecturer Shamkhal Aliyev from the Department of Electrical Engineering represented AzTU at the training. The Head of the Research and Development Department, Bakhtiyar Badalov and Senior Specialist of the Finance Department at the Financial and Supply Department of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Fidan Gurbanova participated in the International Week organized by Dumlupınar University in Kutahya, Turkey, within the framework of the “Erasmus+” exchange program. The event, attended by over 80 representatives from higher education institutions across more than 25 countries, featured presentations from participating universities. Topics such as writing projects in the fields of teaching and research, international collaborations, and education and experience exchange were discussed during the event.  

The next information session about scholarship programs of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) was held for students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). At the event, the dean of the German engineering faculty Arastun Mammadov spoke about the long-term cooperation of DAAD and the opportunities created by scholarship programs for engineering majors. Later, Claudio Kasperl, DAAD’s German language teacher working at AzTU, gave detailed information to the students about studying in Germany, DAAD’s activities and scholarship programs, application conditions, set of required documents and selection criteria.  

The next national volleyball championship among students of higher educational institutions has ended. 15 teams participated in the tournament. The team of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was awarded the second place in the final stage of the tournament, which took place under conditions of intense sports competition.

The preliminary stage of the international startup competition “Finding innovative and creative solutions” was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”. A total of 22 teams from 10 higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan participated in the competition jointly organized by AzTU and the National University of Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (METU). The goal is to involve university teachers and students in contributing to the solution of global problems with innovative ideas.  

A meeting was held with the students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) who have won the right to participate in the experience and research-based mobility program at the University of Agrarian and Ecological Pedagogy operating in Vienna, Austria. At the meeting employees of the International Relations Department informed the participants about the program. It was noted that the mentioned project is being implemented within the framework of the project “Increasing the capacity of universities in starting and participating in the development of clusters with the principles of innovation and sustainability” (UniClaD) of the “Erasmus+ KA2” program funded by the European Union in which AzTU is a partner.  

“GreenTech” Startup and Green Technologies” competition was held in Ganja as part of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World” announced by the President Ilham Aliyev’s Decree. Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was represented by 4 teams in the competition. The “Efficient use of natural resources and revival of Karabakh” team, captained by Kamran Gurbanov, a first-year student of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics of AzTU, was awarded the second place in the competition. After evaluation by the jury, the winning teams were awarded with certificates and valuable gifts.  

Sergey Khristolyubov, regional director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) International Rating Agency, was a guest of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Welcoming the guest, Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev spoke about the role of international rating systems in the recognition of higher education institutions on a global scale. The rector emphasized that AzTU attaches importance to international rating systems. During the meeting, views were exchanged on the current and future cooperation issues of AzTU with QS, including the possibilities of developing relevant indicators related to QS rating.  

A field trip to the meat and dairy plant of the SAB company was organized by the “Industrial Engineering Hub” club operating under the Student Trade Union Committee (THIK) of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Teachers of the Department of Machine Design and Industrial Technologies and 2nd year students studying food engineering took part in the excursion.
