Meeting with graduate students who completed research internships at AzTU
An online scientific seminar was held with graduate students involved in scientific research practice at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering operating under the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The seminar, led by Nuran Abdullayev, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Research Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, held extensive discussions on current scientific topics with graduate students studying in the specializations “Service of Biomedical and Radioelectronic Devices” and “Medical and Technical Diagnostic Methods and Devices”.Discussions were organized around the current research work of the graduate students, their dissertation topics, and the methods they apply, and future directions of activity were determined.The meeting was attended by the institute’s senior research workerr Javid Abbasli and the experimental supervisors, PhDs in engineering Gunay Khasmammadova, Khanim Samadova, and Aybeniz Abdullayeva, who shared their suggestions and recommendations regarding the scientific results presented by the graduate students.
Two performances were held at AzTU on the occasion of National Theatre Day
Two performances were held at AzTU on the occasion of National Theatre Day Two performances prepared by the Theatre Club of the Student Trade Union (THİK) at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) were showcased to celebrate National Theatre Day. The performances dedicated to the 152nd anniversary of the National Theatre were staged based on the works of playwright Mirza Fatali Akhundov’s “Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Mastali Shah” and Afaq Bashirqizi’s “Kindergarten Teacher.” It should be noted that the performances were the result of three months of rehearsals by students from AzTU and the UNEC Creativity Center. Among the audience were honored artists Rafael Isgandarov, Joshgun Rahimov, and Elkhan Yunis. At the end of the performances, the honored artists congratulated the students and wished them success. At the conclusion, certificates of appreciation were presented to the young people who contributed to the creation of the performances. RELATED GOALS

Team Mentored by AzTU Teacher Wins National Championship at the International Robot Olympiad
The Azerbaijan National Championship of the “Fibonacci” International Robot Olympiad was held, bringing together over 1,000 students from 36 educational institutions across the country. Young engineers competed for victory in 21 different categories, showcasing their skills in robotics and innovation. In addition to Azerbaijan, participants from Turkey and Kazakhstan also took part in this year’s competition. A team mentored by Turkana Gahramanli, a faculty member in the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), achieved outstanding success, securing 1st place in four categories and 2nd place in one category. Notably, the teams mentored by Turkana Gahramanli included Yusif Aliyev, a first-year Computer Science student at AzTU, and Khumara Gahramanli, a doctoral student specializing in Systematic Analysis, Management, and Information Processing. The winning teams have earned the opportunity to represent Azerbaijan at the Fibonacci International Robot Olympiad, which will take place in Antalya, Turkey, in April.

A meeting was held to expand cooperation between the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI) and the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). New Cooperation Opportunities Discussed Between AzTU and AzMI
A meeting was held to strengthen cooperation between the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI) and Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the meeting, participants were briefed on AzMI’s areas of activity, calibration and verification capabilities, and ongoing laboratory improvements. Proposals were made to facilitate internships for AzTU students at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels at AzMI, as well as to encourage them to publish their scientific articles in AzTU’s scientific journal. Additionally, discussions focused on potential collaborations, including the creation of a joint scientific journal, the co-organization of scientific conferences, and the development of joint training programs. Views were also exchanged on training initiatives and seminars conducted as part of the “AzMI Academy” project. After the meeting, attendees toured AzMI’s laboratories, where they inspected facilities for measuring the kinematic viscosity of liquids, mass, volume, medicine, resistance, time and frequency, distribution parameters, and radio frequency power measurements.
