A meeting was held with the employees of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute (AQTI) of the students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) studying food engineering .
Welcoming the participants, Professor Isa Khalilov, Head of the Department of Machine Design and Industrial Technologies, said that the meeting was prepared on the basis of the “State Program for ensuring food safety in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2025” approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 29, 2019. Events are organized according to the Plan. Taking into account the international experience in the field of food safety, it was emphasized that the preparation of new educational programs for different levels of education, as well as the promotion of healthy and rational nutrition, have a special place in the Action Plan.
At the meeting, Huseyn Mammadov, adviser to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AQTI, gave information about the “Food Safety Volunteers” initiative group operating under the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency. Activities of volunteers, internship programs, reward rules, benefits and other points were brought to the students’ attention.
Sabina Nuruzadeh, a specialist of the Service Organization Department of AQTI, spoke about the history of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Institute of Food Safety, directions of activity, food safety, plant and animal health, complex research laboratories, as well as the network of laboratories of the country. In addition , the students were informed about the trainings carried out by AQTI.
At the end of the event, the questions of students and employees were answered.
