A delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), led by Rector Vilayat Valiyev, met with Hidayat Azimov, Deputy Minister of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Hidayat Azimov provided detailed information on the action areas defined by the Ministry for the development of human capital for 2025–2030. He also discussed new projects planned for implementation in 2026 based on university–industry–government cooperation, aimed at establishing a strong defense industry ecosystem. In addition, the results of the “DefAge Bootcamp” project, successfully implemented in 2025, were presented.
AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev delivered a comprehensive presentation on the activities of the higher education institution he leads, its educational and research capacities, and the work that can be carried out in the field of defense industry.
During the discussions, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of forming a research- and development-based, knowledge-intensive ecosystem to ensure the long-term and sustainable development of the defense industry in the country.
The meeting was held in a sincere and constructive atmosphere, during which views were exchanged on strengthening joint activities in the mentioned areas and ensuring the continuity of the process. An agreement was also reached to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
