On April 6, the opening ceremony of the “Study in Azerbaijan” international exhibition of Azerbaijani higher education institutions was held at the Farabi Hub Innovation Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The exhibition aims to strengthen strategic partnership between the two countries in the fields of education and science, and to inform students as well as young professionals about opportunities to study in Azerbaijan.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, rectors of leading universities of both countries, and education experts. The Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is represented at the exhibition by a delegation led by Rector Vilayat Valiyev.
AzTU also has its own stand at the exhibition.
Within the framework of the exhibition, applicants and students can obtain information about higher education programs in Azerbaijan, academic opportunities, and scientific achievements. Detailed information is also provided on grants, academic mobility, double degree programs, and admission requirements.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, emphasized that this initiative is a logical continuation of bilateral cooperation. He noted that last year, more than 2,500 Azerbaijani youth participated in the “Study in Kazakhstan” exhibition held in Azerbaijan. During that event, around 80 important agreements were reached. He stated that today’s event is also a result of such productive cooperation.
Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, in turn, emphasized the importance of integration in education. He stated that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are countries with shared historical and cultural roots. Cooperation in education further strengthens this spiritual closeness. The minister also noted that such platforms help young people choose their future professions correctly and become more competitive internationally.
It should be noted that the exhibition will continue on April 7–8 at the Farabi Hub KazNU Center.
