Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, held a meeting with faculty members participating in research and academic exchange programs. The purpose of the meeting was to assess the current state of the University’s international scientific and educational cooperation, review the results achieved, and identify future areas of activity.
It was noted that over the past month, 74 AzTU staff members and 14 students participated in various research, academic exchange, seminar, and internship programs at 15 higher education institutions in Türkiye, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Within the framework of these collaborations, preliminary agreements were reached on the implementation of joint projects, bilateral research initiatives, preparation of scientific publications, and the development of new academic programs.
During the meeting, further steps were identified to expand AzTU’s international partnership network, increase access for faculty and students to research and practical training opportunities abroad, and establish joint laboratories and research centers. The Rector emphasized that the University’s main objective is to transform international cooperation into sustainable institutional partnerships and measurable scientific outcomes.
Participants of the meeting shared proposals regarding future prospects, improvement of cooperation mechanisms, and the exploration of new opportunities. AzTU leadership underlined that international activities are defined as a priority direction in the University’s development strategy and reaffirmed its commitment to continuing efforts in this field.
